Carletonite

 

 

Named after Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada, Carletonite was first described in 1969 for the only known occurrence at Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada (Poudrette quarry). This very rare blue mineral is a silicate and member of the Apophyllite group.
