Sturmanite, named after Bozidar Darko Sturman, a Slovenian-Canadian mineralogist and former Associate Curator of Mineralogy, Royal Ontario Museum, is a rare sulfate mineral. Sturmanite has a bright yellow to amber colour and forms hexagonal, pyramidal or prismatic crystals. It was first identified in 1983 at the Black Rock Mine in the Kalahari manganese field, Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
