Collection: Kammererite
Kammererite is the rare, chromium-rich variety of clinochlore, belonging to the chlorite group of minerals. It is best known for its distinctive magenta to deep purple coloration, caused by the presence of chromium. Crystals can appear as lustrous plates, tabular forms, or coatings on matrix, often showing a translucent to transparent quality.
Highly prized by collectors, Kammererite is found in a few notable localities worldwide, with the Kop Dağları Mountains in Turkey producing some of the finest and most vividly colored specimens ever discovered.
