Collection: Schizolite

Schizolite is a rare silicate mineral belonging to the wollastonite group, composed mainly of sodium, calcium, manganese, and silicon. It typically forms slender prismatic or fibrous crystals that range in color from pale pink to brownish or colorless, often with a pearly to vitreous luster.

This mineral is known for occurring in alkaline pegmatites and syenitic environments, most famously at Mont St-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada, where it often associates with minerals such as Serandite, Polylithionite, and Albite.
