A splendid double-sided specimen featuring large, well-terminated Quartz crystals exhibiting a bipyramidal (dipyramidal) habit, where two pyramids meet at their bases. This crystal form is characteristic of β-Quartz (high-temperature Quartz), which crystallizes above 573 °C. On one side, the Quartz crystals rest upon a sparkling layer of grey Hematite, while the reverse showcases lustrous, well-defined Hematite blades over Quartz. A truly eye-catching and aesthetic specimen from the Beckermet Mine, Egremont, Cumbria, England.
Dimensions: 7.4 × 4.0 × 3.4 cm
